Pereira and Lange physiotherapy is a practice that is focused towards management of general orthopaedic aches and pains, injury related to biomechanical dysfunction, postural dysfunctions, acute and chronic sports injuries, pre and post-operative surgical management, and field side management of sports teams.

At Pereira and Lange Physiotherapy the patient is offered comprehensive treatment for pain and injury, as well as the added benefit of customised and supervised rehabilitation and exercise programs. This is backed by extensive academic knowledge and practical expertise.

Pereira and Lange Physiotherapy was founded by Denis Pereira and Sholem Lange in 2017.

Denis was born, bred, schooled and studied in Johannesburg. Although having olive skin and being of Portuguese decent, he is a Jo’burg boy through and through. Denis has always shown a keen interest in any sport. He also developed keen interests in Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Mixed Martial Arts and Golf. While studying Denis worked as a fitness trainer for several years, and continues to be involved in the industry today. He completed a B.Sc degree with Honours in Exercise Physiology as well as a B.Sc Honours degree in Physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has completed numerous post graduate courses in sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy, including SPT 1. He has also worked in conjunction with some of Johannesburg’s leading sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons.

From a young age Sholem had a keen interest in sports participating in various disciplines throughout school and university. Having suffered various injuries on and off the field Sholem experienced first-hand the healing power of physiotherapy and its interplay with sports. It was a natural progression for Sholem to study physiotherapy and graduated from The University of the Witwatersrand with a BSc Physio (Hons). He also completed his postgraduate course in SPT1. Throughout his career, Sholem has been involved in various sports disciplines including ballet, hockey, rugby and soccer to name a few. From 2014 to 2016 he had the privilege to be the chief physiotherapist for the PSL soccer side Mpumalanga Black Aces.
